Body lifts: Body lifts are more comprehensive treatments designed to target the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks at the same time. During this procedure, a doctor will create circumferential incisions, running along the groin, thighs, hips, and waist. In addition to tightening damaged muscles, he or she may use liposuction to remove fat from one or more of these regions.
Many patients are concerned about the potential risks involved in liposuction. The truth is, while liposuction can have adverse effects, the treatment is very safe when it is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon. Unfortunately, with the increasing popularity of the procedure, more and more doctors offer the procedure, and not all of them are experienced with this treatment. This is another reason that patients should take the time to find a highly qualified surgeon for their liposuction.
Abdominal Etching: This specialized form of liposuction is designed to enhance the abdominal muscles and give patients a desirable set of "six-pack abs." The surgeon will first outline the muscles and then the thin layer of fat that can obscure these muscles. He or she may use traditional, ultrasound, or laser assisted techniques to perform this minimal recovery treatment.
Liposuction is very effective for shaping the abdominal area in men and women. The lower abdomen in particular tends to be resistant to diet and exercise, making even the most fit and active individuals insecure about their appearance. Pregnancy and cesarean births can have a disfiguring effect on the lower abdomen, which diet and exercise cannot correct. Most abdominal fat is located directly beneath the skin and can easily be removed through liposuction procedures. However, fat that is located deep in the abdomen (between the intestines) cannot be removed with liposuction because of the increased risk of severe complications. Abdominal liposuction may be performed in conjunction with a tummy tuck.
I personally think nurse-administered anesthesia is perfectly appropriate in many cases. In fact, a 2014 study by the Chochrane Collaboration research group concluded that it was "not possible to say whether there were any differences in care between medically qualified anaesthetists and nurse anaesthetists." But if the patient is anxious about the procedure, or if the treatment scope is extensive, the extra cost of an anesthesiologist can be well worth the money. What I consider extensive liposuction can easily take up to 4 hours, so it would be reasonable to estimate that anesthesia administered by an anesthesiologist could cost about $2,000 in this scenario.
Ultrasonic Liposuction : This popular form of liposuction uses a specialized cannula that emits ultrasonic sound waves into the fat deposits to liquefy fat cells and make them easier to remove. By utilizing ultrasound technology, the doctor can remove larger and denser fat deposits, and he or she can tighten the surrounding skin. However, there is a greater risk of burns and scarring due to the heat from the ultrasound waves.
A Bra Lift with Laser (Laser Bra Lift): Some doctors will want to use a laser bra lift as an insurance policy that your breasts won’t sag. It’s actually not really an alternative to breast lift surgery as it is an extra procedure. In the laser bra surgery, the laser is used to create a bra-like effect that protects the surgical results of the breast lift. Laser energy will always stimulate the production of new collagen fibers, which give you more support of any tissues. Always look at the before and after pictures to see whether or not you think there is enough improvement.
I perform a liposuction breast lift/reduction known as Breast LipoLift®. This specialized technique spares more nerves and blood supply as well as removes tissue from the areas you don't want such as near the armpit and the lower portion hanging near your stomach. Once I use this to shape the breast, I then remove the excess skin to tighten the breast and create a more proportional silhouette with better cleavage. This procedure is also more accurate than traditional breast lifts or reductions since I use 3D measurements to uncover size asymmetries. During the procedure I remove exactly whatever is more from the larger side to get as close to symmetry as possible. Since I perform this less invasively the recovery time is faster and drains are not necessary. Over 90% of my patients are out to dinner the next evening taking only Advil and Tylenol if even needed. The size would depend on the proportion with your body versus going for a cup size.  It has been proven to have less complications than traditional breast reduction (please see my Breast LipoLift® page web page) and should not affect nipple sensation, mammograms, cancer risk or breast-feeding.
Liposuction Cost and Liposuction Price Guide Cost of Liposuction is an important factor when considering liposuction surgery. However, the quality of liposuction is more important than the liposuction cost. If the ultimate goal of liposuction is to have a happy patient, then the surgeon’s expertise and experience are probably more important than finding the […]

The expected time and effort that is required to accomplish a liposuction surgery is the most important factor in determining the cost of liposuction. Factors that typically affect the surgeon’s time and effort include 1) Number of areas being treated, 2) Size of the patient, 3) Anticipated degree of difficulty. Thus, cost of liposuction of the abdomen alone is less than the cost of doing liposuction on both the abdomen as well as the inner thighs and knees. Similarly, the cost for abdominal liposuction on a patient who weighs 80 kilograms (176 pounds) might be more than the cost for liposuction of the abdomen of a patient who has never weighed more than 60 kilograms (132 pounds). Liposuction is more difficult and requires more time if the patient has previously gained and then lost a significant amount of weight. In any area previously treated with liposuction, the fat often contains scar tissue which makes liposuction in the same area more difficult.
Cost is incredibly variable. It depends on the city and the provider. If you go to a plastic surgeon in New York City, it costs a lot more than seeing a non-plastic surgeon in a rural area. There are plenty of non-plastic surgeons offering discount liposuction. But, this can be somewhat risky due to their limited training backgrounds. And bad liposuction is very difficult to fix - I perform a lot of revision liposuction trying to fix poorly performed liposuction.
Radiofrequency fat removal uses radiofrequency waves to heat unwanted fat cells. The high-power waves can demolish these cells, yet the surrounding cells will be unharmed. Typically, you will have several short treatment sessions. Many experts hail radiofrequency treatments, such as Vanquish and Accent® Ultra, for their ability to remove fat and improve the appearance of cellulite with minimal discomfort and no need for anesthesia. However, this technology has not yet received FDA approval for use in fat removal, and therefore, many doctors are hesitant to offer this form of treatment.
When skin is damaged, the body repairs it by creating new collagen fibers, which gives the healing area a different look and texture: a scar. The “mended” skin will be less flexible than the skin around it, and it may have no hair follicles. The scarred skin might be a different color than surrounding skin and the color will change as healing progresses. This is completely natural.
To prepare for liposuction surgery, your doctor will require you to meet for an in-depth planning session. During the meeting, you will discuss the entire procedure, its risks and side effects, and all steps you need to take prior to the operation. Your doctor will give you details about the kind of anesthesia he or she will use, the type of facility where the liposuction procedure will take place, the costs involved, and any medications or supplies you will need to pick up beforehand. The doctor will also explain the different types of liposuction he or she offers, and together you can determine the optimal treatment for your health needs and aesthetic goals. It is important to be as thorough as possible when explaining your objectives to your doctor, as this will help him or her create a treatment plan that is tailored specifically for you.
In 1977, Fisher and Fischer reviewed 245 cases with the planotome instrument for treating cellulite in the lateral trochanteric (hip-thigh) areas. There was a 4.9 per cent incidence of seromas, despite incision-wound suction catheters and compression dressings; 2.0 per cent of the cases presented pseudo-cyst formation that required removal of the capsule (cyst) through a wider incision (+ 5.0 mm) and the use of the panotome.[14][15]
Be very careful!  You are a set up for a bad result.  50% of my revisional patients are people who were just like you and did not want what they NEEDED and ended up making compromises and ended up with terrible results.  The irony is they ended up getting what they NEEDED originally except with more cost and suffering.  You need what you need.  Do not just fill your breast to make up for excess skin. It will look good for a short period of time while it is swollen and then bottom out.  Spend more time looking for a surgeon who gets good results and closes incisions well.  The vertical scar can in many instances become invisible.
Dr. Kao specifically designed the Alexandra Breast Lift as a hybrid lift combining the best of the two techniques. It shapes and condenses the breasts without creating any unattractive scars. By combining the strengths of the circumareolar lift and the inverted-T lift, the Alexandra Breast Lift performed by Dr. Kao can dramatically enhance the appearance of your breasts.
Some patients report pain the day after their liposuction surgery. Usually, this discomfort is minor and can be relieved with pain medication and moderate walking. In less than a week after liposuction, most patients are able to move and walk normally, even returning to work with minimal discomfort. Patients should take showers instead of baths for about a week after liposuction. During this time, swelling, bruising, and numbness will begin to go away.
