Proper diet and exercise should be the first course of action for patients who want to enjoy firmer, perkier backsides. Exercises like squats target your gluteus maximus and surrounding muscles to tighten them while burning fats. Running and other aerobic activities also strengthen these muscles, making them larger and more toned. If you have experienced moderate weight loss, you may be able to sufficiently firm your rear with exercises and healthy nutrition, but if you've lost massive amounts of weight, no amount of exercise or dieting will be able to get rid of your drooping skin. In fact, buttocks ptosis might make exercising more difficult, preventing you from reaching your health goals and desired look.
A breast reduction typically includes a lift.  However, a lift does not necessarily require a reduction.  Both operations have similar incision patterns and resultant scars, but they have different indications.  One of the first questions I ask a patient who desires an improved appearance of her breasts is if she would like to be the same size, smaller, or larger.  The patient who wants to be the same size and is happy with her breasts when wearing a bra but unhappy with the amount of sagging without a bra is a candidate for a breast lift alone.  The patient who desires to be smaller or has one breast noticeably larger than the other, is a candidate for a breast reduction-lift combination.  Sometimes patients feel their breasts look smaller after removal of the excess skin with the lift even though no breast tissue was removed; the reason for this is that some of what fills your bra cup is excess skin.  The patient with sagging who desires to have larger breasts is a candidate for a breast lift with implants.
The woman wanting a lift is usually slightly different. She had breasts she was happy with before, she had loving kids who she may or may not have breastfed, exercised and had a good life. They come wanting to restore the youthful breast they once they had(or better), they hate that it is slightly more deflated than before and it's slightly more south then they'd like. The formal name of this operation is "Mastopexy" and that's why you hear terms like "Mastopexy augmentation" because often in order to restore the youthfulness of the breast you not only need to reposition the nipple/areolar complex "up" with a mastopexy, you also need to provide some additional volume with an implant, hence augmentation as well. The discussion with implant also is entirely different discussion all together, but this highlights the primary difference in the reduction and a lift.

The patient's medical history and overall health can elevate the level of difficulty of the surgery. For example, if you are suffering from an immune deficiency or a chronic condition, such as uncontrolled diabetes, you instantly increase the complexity of the surgery. This also affects your recovery. You may need more time to relapse and get back to your everyday routine, which might mean you will need to take more medications after the surgery (for a longer time than usual), and potentially more time off work. All that equals more money spent on your behalf.

After the procedure, patients are taken to the recovery room for a few hours and then released from the facility. Patients must come with a friend or family member in order to be driven home and cared for at all times during the first three days after surgery. If the patient does not have a friend or family in the area, for an additional cost, Jolie offers recovery houses for patients who have undergone a procedure.

Your surgeon can discuss your incision options with you to help you choose which type of traditional butt lift will suit your needs. Although traditional butt lifts do leave scars, your doctor will work to limit the length of your incision and place it in a less visible area. In addition to lifting, your surgeon may be able to augment your buttocks during these procedures with a butt implant, by repositioning your excess tissue in a more flattering way, or by transferring fat from other areas, as in a Brazilian butt lift.
Please call the office between 8:30AM and 4:30PM during the workweek to make arrangements for me to see you one week after your surgery. Please call for appointments for follow up visits at six weeks, six months, and twelve months. The reason for this extended care is because it takes six months to one year for complete healing to occur. There are no charges for any of your aftercare office visits. It would be my pleasure to see you at any time to answer any questions about your breast surgery or any other cosmetic surgery you read or hear about. Finally, please mention me to you family and friends when they bring up the topic of cosmetic surgery or therapeutic injections. It has been my pleasure helping you through this cosmetic surgery experience!

The ideal candidate for the BBL surgery are individuals who wish to enhance the size of their buttocks but, have a significant amount of fat in covering different areas of their body such as the abdomen, waist, hips, and lower back. One of the board certified plastic surgeons at Jolie Plastic Surgery expands on factors an ideal candidate must have for the fat transfer procedure by stating:
Cosmetic fillers are substances that smooth wrinkles and folds by bulking up the tissue underneath. Doctors inject them directly into problem areas. Collagen is the oldest and best-known cosmetic filler. Newer options include hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, poly-L-lactic acid, polymethylmethacrylate beads (PMMA), and ordinary fat that comes from your own thigh or belly.
It is also possible for implants to rupture and leak. If saline implants rupture, the saline will be safely absorbed by the body. A silicone leak may stay inside the implant shell or leak outside of the shell. When a saline implant ruptures, it will deflate. But silicone breast implants may cause no obvious symptoms when they rupture. This is called silent rupture.
A Brazilian butt lift enhances the size and shape of a patient's butt so that it better fits his or her figure and provides an attractive, prominent rear end. In order to perform Brazilian butt lift surgery, fat from areas of the body such as the back, abdomen, hips, and thighs is removed through liposuction. During this process, your surgeon will make a small incision in the region with excess fat and insert a small tube. He or she will then use manual motion, vibration, ultrasonic waves, bursts of air, or even lasers to dissolve fat deposits before gently aspirating them. Liposuction usually only requires local anesthesia to complete, but your doctor may recommend general anesthesia or sedation if you require more extensive fat removal or are particularly nervous about your surgery.

What kind of follow-up care do you provide? Your recovery can significantly impact the success of your butt lift surgery and the appearance of your results. It is important to work with a surgeon who is willing to be there for you through every step of the process. Comprehensive post-operative care should typically include weekly appointments for several weeks and availability for any questions or concerns that arise after your procedure.
There are two basic types of butt lift surgery. In the traditional procedure, the surgeon lifts your buttocks by removing excess skin, fat, and tissue, pulling the skin taut and repositioning it for a lighter, younger look. The less invasive Brazilian butt lift requires only very minor incisions and a fat transfer. Each of these procedures has its own benefits and disadvantages, so the type you choose will be depend on your unique needs and wishes.
