A butt lift is a surgical procedure that can be customized to meet each individual patient's unique needs and desired results. Patients with excess drooping skin may opt for a traditional excisional butt lift, while those who want to subtly augment their backsides may prefer the popular Brazilian butt lift. In any event, butt lift surgery can make having a firm and sexy rear end possible.
While butt implants are available as an option to our patients but it is not recommended. Sixty percent of all buttocks implants are rejected by the patient’s body, which is followed by a cost to remove them. On the other hand, fat transfer to buttock are completely safe as it is own body fat. Doctors at Spectrum Aesthetics, recommend this buttock fat transfer (Brazilian Butt Lift) method.
During the first week, you should plan to take time off of work and have a friend or family member care for you. You can shower, removing your compression garment and gently washing your buttocks, in about two days. You should come into your plastic surgeon's office within the first week of recovery so that he or she can examine your buttocks and remove your drains, if they are no longer collecting much fluid. Sutures may be removed within ten days of your procedure, depending on your healing. You may not drink alcohol, smoke, or take medications like aspirin. Many patients return to work after the first week, but you may need someone to help you care for your house and children for two weeks. Plastic surgeons typically recommend taking short walks around your home during this time period to decrease swelling and keep your blood moving properly. Some plastic surgeons even recommend having regular massages to improve your circulation and help you recover more quickly from butt lift surgery. Depending on your condition and your customized procedure, you may be able to travel after the first week.

If you have a demonstrated medical need for butt lift surgery, you will need to contact your insurance provider to learn more about payment. Your insurance provider may cover some or all of your costs, and they may either pay your surgeon directly or reimburse you after your procedure. You will typically need to provide the appropriate paperwork to both your insurance company and your surgeon to facilitate this process.
How long you are off work depends on your occupation. If you do clerical work (i.e. stockbroker, teacher, or programmer), you can return to work when you feel up to it. This usually takes about two to three days. Do not go to work for three weeks if you do manual labor (i.e. entertainer, truck driver or personal trainer). Regardless of your employment, do not lift anything weighing more than five pounds for three weeks.
Breast implants are not lifetime devices. The longer a woman has implants, the more likely it is that she will need to have surgery to remove or replace them. The most frequent complications and adverse outcomes experienced by breast implant patients include capsular contracture, reoperation, and implant removal (with or without replacement). Other common complications include implant rupture with deflation, wrinkling, asymmetry, scarring, pain, and infection. In addition, women with breast implants may have a very low but increased likelihood of being diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL).
The BBL surgery not only enhances the buttocks, but it can also improve the overall contour of different areas of the body through liposuction. Most patients choose to have liposuction on the most troubling areas such as the abdomen, hips, back and thighs. Removing fat from these areas immediately reshapes the body creating an hourglass figure. Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Fisher of expands on the benefits of the fat transfer procedure by stating:

The woman wanting a lift is usually slightly different. She had breasts she was happy with before, she had loving kids who she may or may not have breastfed, exercised and had a good life. They come wanting to restore the youthful breast they once they had(or better), they hate that it is slightly more deflated than before and it's slightly more south then they'd like. The formal name of this operation is "Mastopexy" and that's why you hear terms like "Mastopexy augmentation" because often in order to restore the youthfulness of the breast you not only need to reposition the nipple/areolar complex "up" with a mastopexy, you also need to provide some additional volume with an implant, hence augmentation as well. The discussion with implant also is entirely different discussion all together, but this highlights the primary difference in the reduction and a lift.
Saline-filled breast implants contain a silicone outer shell filled with a sterile saltwater (saline) solution. Some are pre-filled and others are filled during the implant operation. Saline-filled implants come in different sizes and have either smooth or textured shells. The FDA approved saline-filled breast implants for breast augmentation in women age 18 or older and for breast reconstruction in women of any age. They are also used in revision surgeries, which correct or improve the result of an original surgery.
There are two types of breast implants approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA): silicone-filled and saline-filled. They come in various sizes and shapes, and with two types of shells: textured shells and smooth shells. A type of silicone-filled implant with a thicker filling, called a form-stable highly cohesive implant, or "gummy bear" breast implant, is currently under investigation and may one day provide another option for women undergoing breast augmentation with implants.

If forehead creases are bringing you down, injections of botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin) can provide a temporary fix. They're made with a purified version of the toxin from botulinum bacteria. In tiny doses, this toxin relaxes the clenched facial muscles that cause crow's feet, frown lines, and the like. The shots take only a few minutes and cause little pain.
Allergic reaction to medications or materials. If you are allergic to the gloves, sutures, gauze, drugs, or any other substances used during your butt lift, you may develop an allergic reaction. This could cause redness, rashes, hives, irritation, or other uncomfortable symptoms. To minimize your risk of allergic reaction, discuss your medical history with your plastic surgeon at your initial consultation. He or she may be able to use different materials to accommodate your allergies. If you do experience an allergic reaction, this should abate within a few days to one week.
Tissue necrosis. Modifying your tissues can inadvertently limit their blood and nutritional supply, causing them to die. These destroyed cells can cause skin irregularities, stiffness, and discoloration. Your doctor may need to surgically remove tissue affected by necrosis. This condition is more common in patients who smoke, which is one reason why your plastic surgeon will advise you to quit smoking before and after your butt lift surgery.
Both breast reduction and breast lift surgeries are similar in that they both serve to reshape the breasts. Breast lift, through any of the various techniques, basically serves to reposition the breast and nipple on the chest to reverse the effects of time and gravity. The same changes that are noted in ptotic, or sagging, breasts are often seen in large breasts that require reduction: the nipple position is often low and there is excess skin (in addition to the excess breast tissue). The breast reduction then combines a lift with removal of extra tissue to create a breast that has a higher nipple position, reduced extra skin, and smaller and more balanced breast size.
It is certainly possible to lift a breast without changing the volume or removing any tissue, however, the breast will sometimes appear smaller after this procedure due to its position. It is also possible to reduce breast volume without lifting the tissue (usually via liposuction) but all reductions that are performed by making incisions will also include a lift.
She advises me that there are many conspiracies around botox- staying up right for more than two hours, is false for starters. ‘The solution takes 20 minutes to settle in your muscles, so I do advise you to stay upright for then, any longer wont make a difference’. She does however advise me not to undertake exercise that’s too strenuous or hot following the treatment (fine by me) and to carefully wash my face when I get home, not scrubbing or rubbing too hard.
